Compare more than price
The cheapest room can become expensive if transport is unreliable, water is inconsistent, the room is overcrowded, or the study environment is poor. Student accommodation should be judged by safety, routine, distance, house rules, service reliability, and who manages issues day to day.
Parent and student checklist
- Distance to campus, transport routes, and late-class safety.
- Number of students per room, bed arrangement, storage, and privacy.
- Water, ZESA, WiFi, lighting, study desks, and charging points.
- Bathroom ratio, kitchen rules, laundry space, and cleaning responsibilities.
- Visitor rules, noise policy, curfew if any, and conflict resolution process.
- Who lives on site, who manages the house, and who responds to emergencies.
- Move-in cost, monthly cost, deposit refund process, and payment schedule.
