Mortgage approval has two sides
A bank looks at the borrower and the property. The borrower must show repayment ability, deposit readiness, and stable income. The property must be acceptable security with clear documents, realistic value, and transferability.
| Bank check | What it means |
|---|---|
| Income | Can you afford repayments after other obligations? |
| Deposit | Do you have cash for deposit, fees, and transfer costs? |
| Credit and banking history | Does your record show reliable repayment behaviour? |
| Property valuation | Does the property support the requested loan amount? |
| Documents | Are title, offer, identity, and transfer papers acceptable? |
Pre-approval helps
Knowing your likely budget before viewing saves time and makes your offer more credible to sellers.
